An asthma attack is often set off by one, or a combination of triggers, that are different from person to person. If you have asthma, it is important to identify your triggers and take steps to avoid them. Here are some of the most common ones: -
- - Viral respiratory infections
- - Strenuous physical exercise
- - Allergens such as house dust mites, plant pollen & animal fur
- - Irritants such as insecticides, cigarettes & other smoke
- - Emotions such as laughter or stress
- - Changes in weather, particularly cold weather
